Heathrow is known as one of the largest airports in the world. However, less known is the role Heathrow plays in handling more than 1.4 million tonnes of cargo annually. We partnered with Heathrow to help raise awareness of the important role that they play in helping British small businesses to access international customer bases and supply chains, and the benefits this generates for the UK economy.
From our experience we understand it would not be easy to engage with audiences on the benefits and economic importance of Heathrow Airport using data alone. We suggested that only focussing on facts and figures would feel impersonal and lack the ‘real life’ impact required to change public opinion.
We proposed focussing on regional businesses to share their own growth stories and the role Heathrow has played.
